Out-Smart Plant Pathogens with Companion® Biological Fungicide
Plant pathogens seem smarter than ever, thanks to factors such as disease resistance and climatic changes. From rampant citrus canker losses in Florida exacerbated by vicious hurricane damage, to hardwood trees in Europe losing the battle to Phytophthoras, to widespread crop pathogens, agriculturalists across the globe are facing mounting disease problems.

Fortunately, smart pathogens can be beat by even smarter solutions! Bacillus subtilis GB03 - the rhizobacterium in Companion® Biological Fungicide - is a super-smart, environmentally-friendly bacterium that effectively fights a broad spectrum of soil-borne pathogens including Phytophthora, Pythium, Fusarium, Rhizoctonia and Sclerotinia.

Bacillus subtilis is truly a "worldly" bacterium that occurs naturally on all continents. It is so ubiquitous, it even hitched a ride to the moon and its spores survived! The GB03 isolate in Companion® was discovered in Australia in the 1930s, and was quickly recognized for its disease-fighting properties. It has since been concentrated and shelf-stabilized by the high-tech efforts of Growth Products.

Unlike traditional chemical fungicides, Bacillus subtilis has natural auxin-like hormones that cause a plant to increase its root mass, enhance branching, and improve overall vigor. So it not only suppresses disease, it improves plant physiology!

Studied in extensive university trials for over seven years and used in over 20 countries, Companion® has a proven track record.
