Objective:Conducted The evaluation of fungicide efficacy on controlling Pythium Blight on Perennial Ryegrass Turf.
Method: Fungicides were applied to plot areas on June 27, July 1, July 4, July 11, July 18, and July 25. Irrigation was implemented following the applications. The study included both conventional and biological fungicides as well as combination applications. Companion Biological Fungicide was applied at 6.0 fl. oz. both by itself, and also with TKO Phosphite (0-29-26) at 5.0 fl. oz. per 1,000 ft2, on a 14 day application schedule. The conventional fungicides Subdue MAXX 2ME & Heritage 50WG were applied at 1.0 fl. oz. and 0.4 fl. oz. per 1,000 ft2 respectively.
Results: Observations were taken incrementally on assessment dates following the applications; June 30, July 2, July 6, July 13 and July 26. The percentage of diseased plot area values were calculated using the mean of four replicates from each plot. Companion, applied alone, reduced Pythium blight by 50% and displayed even more efficacy when used in conjunction with TKO Phosphite (0-29-26) with a reduction of 70% compared to the Untreated Control (outperforming both traditional fungicides).
